BOOK – LAUNCH BY DONS (HUSBAND-AND-WIFE AUTHORS) OF ADEKUNLE AJASIN UNIVERSITY.
The 600 capacity hall of the Nigerian Union of Teachers’ at Oda Road, in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria, was filled on Tuesday 29th June 2010. The occasion was the launching of nine textbooks written by a couple, Prof. B. O. & Dr. (Mrs.) A. N. Duyilemi, who are staff of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba – Akoko, (AAUA), Ondo State, Nigeria. The couple's research of over three decades ranged over Biology, Educational Research, Technology, Anatomy and Psychology of Examinations, Girls and Women In Science and Technology. The books were reviewed by nine Professors from other Nigerian universities. |

Present at the occasion was the chief guest of honour, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, Governor of Ondo State, who was represented by the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi. The chairman of the occasion was Prof. Oladele Awobuluyi, former Acting Vice Chancellor, (AAUA). The roll call also
included traditional rulers, chiefs and other dignitaries. The State Commissioners for Information and Justice were represented by their permanent secretaries.
While congratulating Prof. & Dr. (Mrs.) Duyilemi on their achievement and the product of hard work and academic doggedness, all the speakers (Governor, Chairman, Commissioners, traditional rulers, and book reviewers) advised the Federal and State Governments to encourage indigenous authors more by funding research and publication. |

The stakeholders at the event expressed the unanimous view that it was high time AAUA had its own publishing house and bookshop to serve as outlets for staff publications. The nine textbooks launched were: 1. PRACTICAL BIOLOGY 2. EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH 3. PSYCHOLOGY & ANATOMY OF EXAMINATIONS |

The two authors have, at different times been invited to present academic papers in Australia, France, Denmark, Ghana, Singapore, South Africa, Kenya, Malaysia, India, and United States of America. They were recognised and honoured as “The Best Couple Of The Year” by a Catholic Church in Ekiti in 2010.
